About Us

Peak Energy Solutions applies 25 years of experience with energy efficiency in California to help solve some of the biggest emerging problems of electricity grids, especially peak demand.  We advance energy efficiency retrofits of commercial buildings, using meter-based savings methods to establish hourly energy savings profiles. This enables customers, utilities, and regulators to focus on — and compensate — projects that can reduce peak energy consumption. We are currently driving adoption of the Market Access Programs in California that are designed to prevent rolling blackouts during the periods of highest demand. We serve contractors, customers, and project developers in securing rebates, managing risks, and financing for their energy efficiency projects.

Josiah Adams, CEO

Josiah is a recognized leader in California energy policy, energy efficiency program design, and energy measurement. In the last decade he has:

  • Won more that $120 Million in utility energy efficiency program contracts.

  • Helped design and test the Market Access Program methodology and program model, consulting extensively with regulators, utilities, and the installation community.

  • Enabled over 130 GWh of energy savings and over 85,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions reductions.

He’s also a fun-loving guy who relishes combining his MBA chops with his in-the-trenches experience in designing systems and negotiating solutions to help normal people do what they can to help each other and the planet. He also likes bikes and kids.

Greg Copley, President

Greg has over a decade of experience providing leadership, technical savvy, and sustainability bona fides to:

  •  Deliver over 8,000 successful sustainability projects.

  •  Help commercial customers and contractors save over 100 GW and more than $100 Million in utility bills with their projects.

  •  Support over 200 contractors to secure more than $80 Million in Utility Rebates across 26 States.

All that, coupled with his background in Measurement and Verification (CMVP) and LEED (AP O+M), means he will help you maximize the return on your project or portfolio.  And when not busy making sure your project has what it needs, he’s likely on a trail or rocking out with his band.
